Monday night hockey

Some days you just need something to clear the mind and for me this was the perfect end to the day. Technically I'm a little late on hitting the Monday post but as far as I'm concerned, it's still Monday night since I haven't hit the hay yet. 

It's nice to have a team like we played tonight. Despite the bitter cold and not wanting to leave a warm house, I'm glad I did. The Icemen were victorious quite handily and captain had a good night both on and off the score sheet. There's something about getting a bunch of guys together and getting back to the basics that puts a smile on my face...the handful of post game beverages certainly doesn't hurt either! A few Gino's and an apple or 2 and a convincing W can turn a somewhat blah day into a pretty darn good one.

Well, now I'm tired and need to air the gear out to get ready for Tuesday. And, you know what Tuesday means? Yup, I get to do it all over again! Tomorrow may very well be thankful for Tuesday night hockey! We'll see, we've got the pesky Cowboys tomorrow...or should I say later today!
